Annie Davtian

CEO & Managing partner

Annie Davtian is a CEO & managing partner of a Lawsuit Law Firm and focuses on intellectual property protection including state registration of intellectual property rights, counseling on IP deals and franchising matters.

Annie Davtian provides legal mentorship to startup founders who aim to launch in US and European Union markets. She is also the first lawyer in Armenia who specializes in fashion law and IP rights in this industry, as well as e-commerce legal structure and design rights.

Annie Davtian is a high-ranked intellectual property lawyer and expert in Armenia. She was involved in large-scale international disputes protecting clients and has extensive experience representing companies in administrative courts, as well as courts of general jurisdiction. Big part of Annie Davtian’s practice is due diligence for companies relating to matters of intellectual property compliance.

Annie Davtian is a board member and the President of The Association of “Intellectual Property Right Armenian Lawyers”, at the same time she is a member of International Trademark association (INTA).

Annie Davtian graduated from the Law Faculty of the Russian-Armenian University with honors and has been admitted to the Armenian Bar. In particular, she is a lecturer at the Russian-Armenian University.

Asya Hakobjanyan

Managing Partner

Asya Hakobjanyan is a managing partner and specializes in corporate legislation, complex M&A cases, digital reputation management including sanctions compliance clearance. Her practice extends to startups mentorship, tech, private equity and venture capital sectors. She is regularly involved in representing clients’ interests in the European Union and US.

Having broad experience in personal data protection legislation, Asya Hakobjanyan counsels Forbes-list clients on the elimination of existing and potential risks dealing with European and US sanctions banking legislation. In her practice she focuses on excluding the status of “Politically exposed person”, media crisis assessment and removal of defamatory information from open sources. Asya Hakobjanyan conducts due diligence of companies’ compliance with the requirements of intellectual property and has extensive experience in legal disputes, representing clients in courts.

She worked on most precedent-setting international cases in clearance of complex and comprehensive transactions in client business models in launching of products and services.

Prior to joining the Lawsuit Law Firm, Asya held the position as a Head of legal in a Moscow top-ranked law firm focusing on digital reputation matters and occupied leadership positions in consulting companies PwC Legal and ALTHAUS GROUP.

Asya Hakobjanyan graduated from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with bachelor’s degree and holds master’s degree in law from the Institute of Business Law of the Moscow State Law University O.E. Kutafin (MSLA).

Asya is also a member of the ICC in the Banking and Finance Committee.

Anna Khalatyan

Anna Khalatyan holds the position of an Associate Lawyer, concentrating her efforts on all aspects encompassing IP and IT Law, Corporate Law, and Data Protection.

Anna Khalatyan brings extensive expertise in registering trademarks both within Armenia and on an international scale.

Anna graduated from Russian-Armenian University. Currently, Anna is pursuing her PhD in data protection, while remaining dedicated to exploring innovative approaches to ensure privacy and security in an increasingly digitized world.

Anna’s research intricately examines the finer aspects of data protection, delving into innovative methods to fortify privacy and security within our progressively digitalized landscape. Her dedication to advancing knowledge in this field underscores her fervor for upholding the integrity of data and preserving privacy rights. Specifically, Anna is actively engaged in developing privacy and cookie policies and analyzing the documents’ compliance with data protection laws.

Prior to joining the Lawsuit Law Firm, Anna started her career as an intern at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and School of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia and worked at a leading law firm.

Mane Sargsyan

Junior Associate

Mane Sargsyan currently serves as a Junior Associate specializing in civil law, with a primary focus on Intellectual Property (IP) and Corporate Law. She possesses a keen analytical acumen and a rapid grasp of intricate legal concepts. Mane’s adeptness in research methodologies enables her to delve deeply into legal complexities, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making and optimizing client outcomes.

Currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Russian-Armenia University, Mane is dedicated to furthering her expertise in civil law, with a particular emphasis on digital civil litigation. She plans to continue her academic pursuits in public international law and digital law upon completion of her undergraduate studies.

Mane has actively participated in esteemed Moot Courts, including the VII IP Moot Court, Phillip C. Jessup, and Nuremberg moots focusing on public international law. Prior to joining Lawsuit LawFirm, Mane gained valuable experience through internships at reputable legal organizations and the Court of Cassation of the Republic of Armenia.

Karén Tonoyan

Admitted to both New York and New Jersey bars as a business attorney, he focuses on intellectual property, technological, cybersecurity and AI sectors for startups and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) already operating in the US or planning to enter the market. Karén operates from New York, New Jersey and Armenia.

Having extensive experience in broad range of high-caliber cases in intellectual property and patent applications Karén Tonoyan particularly focuses on electrical, electro-mechanical, and computer-related technologies, including Wi-Fi, 5G, telecommunications, IoT, smart devices, machine learning, neural networks, cloud computing, signals processing, visual and voice recognition, wireless communications, semiconductor manufacturing/processing, video games, and networking.

Karén Tonoyan also protects the interests of content creators, artists and entertainers providing support in the areas of trademark, copyright, intellectual property tools and international agreements.

As a lecturer at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Marine Avagyan imparts her extensive knowledge and expertise. Holding bachelor’s, master’s, and post-graduate qualifications, she has undergone numerous specialized training sessions, further honing her skills in the field.

Marine Avagyan serves as the adept accountant for Lawsuit LLC while actively contributing to the tax and internal accounting implementations for both local and international entities operating within Armenia’s diverse economic landscape.
