Lilit Mkhitaryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Russian-Armenian University and a Master’s degree from the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. She completed her professional legal qualification at the Academy of Justice and later at the Academy of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia, through which she obtained the qualifications required to practice law and join the Armenian Bar.

From 2020 to 2024, Lilit served as an investigator in Yerevan, gaining extensive experience in criminal law, pre-trial investigation, and procedural rights protection. Since 2024, she has been practicing as a criminal defense attorney, representing individuals in complex, sensitive and high-stakes criminal matters.
